Gable's Central Park

(Equinox Brigham x Cedar Creek Elegance)

The son of 2 park saddle champions, C.P. was a handsome colt, upheaded and full of himself. He was the product of a breeding program with the intent of bringing together the blood of Bennfield's Ace and UVM Promise and still hold some size. He matured into an athletic and handsome stallion, who never failed to call attention to himself. Exercising him on a longe line was likened to flying a kite. He brought all the pazazz of a morgan to stallionhood.

C.P. ended up staying here at Blue Gable Farm. As my personal horse, he was ridden dressage. We were both learning, although he had much more talent than I did. In 1995, at the second Sport Horse Keuring sponsored by the Wisconsin Morgan Horse Club, he received a *Premium* rating . Photogenic and dynamic, Central Park performed for the camera, for bystanders, and for me!

Gable's Frankly My Dear

Central Park only had the opportunity to sire a few foals before his untimely death. For Blue Gable Farm, C.P. sired:
Gable's Frankly My Dear (Grinch),
Gable's Grindelwald (Beauty),
and Gable's Walk in the Park (Walk) out of LA Shauna),
Gable's Last Dance (Parker) out of Equinox Victoria,
and Central Command out of Appalachian Spring (Wham Bam Command x Sapphira Spring Mist).

For Tribute Farm, he sired Jack Finney out of Mikk's Gay Glady (Gay Commander x Flit) and Tony Fennelly out of Andre Norton (Garwood Trophy x Mikk's Gay Glady).

Above is The Grinch, just starting his jumping and eventing career. He was an "only" foal and would not make friends, hence his barn name. He grew to be a friendly, talented, big colt with a gift for jumping.

More of Central Park's offspring are pictured below. Click on thumbnails to see, the left to right: Grinch, Beauty, Walk, Parker, Jack, and Tony.

Gable's Secret Sun

In 1994, his first grandson, Gable's Secret Sun (Gable's Frankly My Dear x Gable's Seven Secrets) was a surprise foal who was born on the day of an eclipse. Oh, what a naughty (just gelded) gelding that Grinch was!

Secret Sun now resides in a brand new barn at Secret Sun Farm in Ohio. J.C. lives in a brand new house near by. She and Sun have been training very hard and should be competing this year in dressage. We expect them both to do very well. These are 2004 pictures of the handsome, happy Sunny at home:

Daughter Tony is the proud mother of a very up-headed colt named Raphael Aloysius Lafferty (Rafe) by Chapel Hill Elijah.

The young stallion, Rafe, was shown in hand in 2003 and 2004. He is really growing up to be a good looking guy!
